This guy found this painting before I had a chance to buy it, but i had to take a picture because I liked it so much. Sometimes thrift stores have the coolest art.

Kenny and I met this guy Conner and went over to his house to jam a little. It was pretty cool. Kenny has gotten so good at piano it’s awesome. He has been making friends everywhere he goes. Seattle is welcoming him more and more each day.
La Pasadita truck inside the 76 station parking lot off the 5 freeway across from Northgate. They make a really good veggie taco for 1.20 each. I wish they sold Mexi-Coke. This is my current favorite place to get tacos. Open from 10am to 10pm

Costco sells the really good Coke from Mexico!
Dr. Steven Chang writes a health blog and used my picture of vitamins i took the other day on his blog. See it here. I have no idea about if what he is saying is true or not, BUT it is fun when others use my photographs.

So the annual West Seattle Garage Sale day was last Saturday. Last year was super good, so of course I was looking forward to this year just the same. I always have high expectations for these types of events, like thrift stores. I always assume there will be some amazing item or piece of clothing that I can not live without. Well I was meeting up with Jesse and Ben for breakfast, but I decided to leave a little early so I could visit a few of the sales before breakfast. I stopped by one and didn’t really find anything at all. I was running out of time. I figured why not see one more. So I stopped by one that looked promising from my car in the street. Walked around pretty much the whole sale until I saw this box. Looked inside and let out a little scream. Inside was a giant amount of letters that someone had saved from the 40s and 50s. A LOT OF THEM. The thing about finding something like this, something absolutely amazing, is that you have to try and stay calm. You have to make the seller believe you could walk away from the item without a care. They have to see it in your eyes to be able to give you the best price. I asked her how much she wanted for one. She said the whole box was 10 dollars. I only had 8 dollars, all in 2 dollar bills. So I handed her the 8 and told her I would be right back and had to visit the ATM, which was closer than I though. I drove like the wind and gave her a 10. She gave me back my 8 dollars, but not in my original 2 dollar bills. I have only looked at several of these cards but they are spectacular. Such a great find, and it was the only thing I bought the whole day. Oh wait, no, I bought one of those old tricolor spinning light things that people used to point towards their Christmas trees. I have always wanted one of those.
Here are some recent photos, click on them for more info. I will try to update my blog more often and take more pictures of my thrift finds.
Jesse scooting along 99.
This is a little gem I picked up today at Goodwill for 1.99. Most likely from 1965. Only plays AM radio. Super happy about adding this to my collection. There is one on ebay for 40 dollars.
Got new heads and moon gels for my 98 pork pie snare. mmmmmm she sounds soooo good.
Found a note in my mailbox today. Someone kicked a soccer ball into my window. Huge pieces of glass in my room when I got home. Thank goodness there are still honest people out there leaving notes. Although I called him earlier, and he has not returned my call yet. I will not give up hope.
I started a cross stitch wall in our house. All are mine except for the Home Sweet Home, which is Tai’s unless I beg him to give it to me later.
My new 33, 45, 78 player! The Wildcat. There is one on Ebay for 100 dollars. Yeah, I got mine for 9.99. These were in production in the late 60’s early 70’s. My friend Damien gave me some amazing 78’s from the 40s and now I can finally here them. This is a portable record player dream come true.
Also, Star Wars started this “World of Star Wars” beta thing, and they are using one of my photos! Check it out here.

Just to give everyone a better idea of what exactly I am eating and drinking in the shower. I know what you are thinking, “What?! Who eats or drinks in the shower? That is really strange and I don’t want to try it.” My response to someone that would say that is, you should seriously try it. It may sound weird, but it is fun.
40 dollar Panasonic Automatic Reverse Cassette Changer. Basically my dream come true as far as cassettes go. It it a terrible shame the things I have to pass up on. Soooo good.
