Seattle is now the 2nd most literate city in the US. We were the number one rank for the last two years, but 2007 was Minneapolis Year. They bumped us down to number 2. We are still better though. Plus Los Angeles is ranked 53rd in the US for being literate. Another reason I moved, of course.

Hope everyone back home is having a good holiday season.
It is supposed to snow tomorrow.
To celebrate Christmas Eve I got an oil change today.
The first full week of me living is coming to an end. Tonight at 10pm will be my 1 week anniversary with Washington. We are still in love. I really like it up here. All the stories about the rain are true. It is refreshing. It feels so much cleaner up here. The air is crisp and energizing.
I had an interview with a Nanny Agency Thursday. It went really well. They found a match for me that was local and with a 3 month old boy. But the parents decided to wait a few more months before hiring a nanny. So they are going to find me another match. I want to be a nanny so bad.
Last night Pamela came over and we crafted a bit. She was working on a gift for a friend. I was working on my first felt attempt. I will finish it today, and then take pictures to show you. I am excited about felt. I think my first attempt is going well. I am seriously thinking about opening an Etsy shop as well. We’ll see. I think that would be fun.
We made tamales the other night. Jesse came over and him, Karl, and I pumped out over 100 of them. Deeeeelicious. There was a green chili and chicken, ground beef, and vegetables with green chili. All are vegan. We even made dessert ones. Mmmmm. We are going to be eating in well the next while.
I had my first silk screen attempt yesterday. I practiced with Karl’s equipment. It went well. I will be doing better in no time.
I was searching for our street art on Flickr and look what I found! See here. Nice to see someone likes it. I hope I can find more pictures. We are going to go out again soon for more adventures in that area.
We just got back from having some Pho.
I hooked up my computer today. Feels good to be back on here.
Hope you are all well down in California.

Click for more pictures from out little Wii and Mini-Comic Hang out night. This is also my living room, for those who have not seen it yet. I will soon take a virtual tour set of photos of my new home, as to ease the visual pain some may be feeling.

Here is a picture I took at breakfast during my drive up here. I was so out of it. The food was horrible. The whole drive was 18 hours. I think that is a pretty good time. I still feel like a zombie though. I am going to get a mudhoney* and make a house key.
*a coffee drink from Easy Street Records, which I live a few blocks from.

Hope to see you all in a bit!

Sorry about the confusion. The night at my parent’s house in Simi will be this Thursday, the 13th!! I apparently can’t read a calendar. Thanks Tamra. Mostly the night will be spending some time together. Games will be present. Bring food or beverages, if you want. I will have some there.
Thinking about leaving Saturday early morning.
I know this is sudden and might be strange to most of you, but I feel very strongly about it. If you have ever been to Seattle you would know what I mean. I feel like I am at a point in my life that needs to be filled with change. I need something new. I don’t except everyone to understand, but I hope I can leave with your best wishes. Thanks to those who have shown support and happiness. I wish everyone could feel what I am feeling. I wish I could take everyone with me.
At my storage unit today, I got rid of 6 or 7 rubber maid containers worth of belongings. That felt so good. I have been wanting to simplify my life that way for a long time. This might shock you, it shocked me, but I am actually going to be able to move with just what is in my car. I even drove out to Ventura and bought a bicycle rack for my car. Cost me 7 dollars! I am relieved I will be able to bring my bike. I really like it. And this summer I am sure I will be really happy I held on to it.

I am leaving this weekend, so come out to my parent’s house. Games perhaps, snacks perhaps. Mostly just saying hellos.

It is time for the next chapter of my life.
I love all of you and hope to see you before I go
