The guy and I were talking about girls, because he asked why I was canceling the other phone on my family plan. I told him why and then we started sharing stories. I thought Liz cheating on me with a 30 year old married guy was crazy and insane, but he said he had a girl cheat on him with a traveling carnival worker! Dang, how life turns out sometimes.

I got a button from Follow Your Heart yesterday that says, “Tofu Champion”. I think that explains me in a nutshell. I will never have to explain myself ever again. My whole like can be summed up by that button. I have no idea what I am saying right now, but I do like tofu a lot.
Found a few old Pedro the Lion songs from an old 7 inch that Sub Pop released back in the 90’s, I believe. Pretty good.
Metal heart you’re not worth a thing
So far I have been remembering to take my vitamins everyday this week. Also doing sit-ups every day. I should probably be doing more than I am though, but you have to start somewhere.
Tonight T&T is playing at Little Rock on Reseda. I guess they moved the place around a bit and now the stage is bigger. We will see. I got some little pieces to fix two of my cymbal stands.
At Whole Foods on Sunday, I asked if they had these vanilla kid cookies that I remembered them having. Well for some reason they only had them in other flavors, so naturally I said I was sad they did not carry vanilla anymore. That is when the girl said they have some, but they are secret and only for customers that ask about them. She took me to an empty checkstand and pulled out a whole container of them for me to keep! FOR FREE! Whole Foods you win me over time and time again.
Started watching, “The Future of Foods” last night. It is a documentary on the way food has been grown and the way it will be grown in the future. Makes me want to only eat organic, even though I am already trying to switch. This movie is making me want to even more.
I need to shower and get my drums, so I better go. I have work in an hour. I am taking the kids to the library today. I like going because the used bookstore always has something rad for a dollar. Plus, the lady usually gives us a discount.
Seeds of Change salsa is almost gone already.

I can’t stop eating this salsa I bought today. It is made by Seeds of Change. Flavor - Black Beans and Tomato. Amazing. But, spicy, but good.
I made BBQ tempeh burgers at work tonight. They came out sooo good. I had no idea cooking tempeh would be so easy. I sliced up some tomato and avocado to put on them. Avocados have monosaturated fat which is the good kind of fat. In moderation, of course, it is a very healthy food.
I did an 80 shopping trip at Whole Foods today. I was completely empty here in my lil’ fridge. Omar drove and we also went to REI. He got a new sleeping bag for his trip coming up. I wish I could go.
I am finally going to try and make hummus this week. I need to pick a flavor to make.
All of a sudden my neck kinda hurts.
My mom makes amazing vegan muffins.
I am going to make mushroom salsa with her this week. I have never heard of mushroom salsa. I like mushrooms, I like salsa. So I figure, why not mix the two? I am going to try.
I am to ashamed to admit what I am listening to right now. It reminds me of Arizona.
I got the new Optic Nerve. Thanks for letting me know it came out Jen.
I am going to hang with Jason C. tomorrow, and we are going to talk about me helping him with his website business. I am looking forward to it. I really want to learn more, and helping him out will be a very productive way to do that. Also he is very good at what he does so hopefully it will rub off.
I am going to be staying with Brenna and Sean starting May 1st. I am really excited to spend more time with them. I hope we play card games and drink tea. Oh, and ride bikes.
I filled my pill bottle again with fresh pills.
- Daily Vitamin
- Ginkgo Biloba
- B-Complex
It is go time. I finished the cleanse. I really really need to continue that discipline in my life. In the form of riding my bike more and doing some situp/pushups at home everyday. That is how I know I will continue to feel good. I just do not want to give in to the feeling of being content with not doing those things. I want to desire them more. I suppose the best way is to just start doing them and make them habits.
Time for a small amount of Adult Swim and then dreams..

Man. 4 days have pasted since I started the cleanse. Today I felt really energetic and happy. I really want my tongue to start turning pink already though, ha. That is the point of the cleanse when you now it has taken effect and has cleansed you. I am doing surprisingly well with all of the no eating, but I would like to eat some day soon. It is mostly small portions of the day when I will think too much about food, like right now, that is when I feel like eating. During the day while I am working or doing something I am fine. My body feels a lot lighter and the pants I am wearing feel better around the waist. I can tell that things are feeling better and that toxins are being sent out of my body. That is the main reason I can make it to the next day, the knowledge that I am really doing something for myself. It’s not everyday I take the time to do something for myself. But to be totally honest, since I moved to Simi and broke up with Liz I have been doing a lot more for myself. And also I have been able to be satisfied with being alone for a night. It used to be hard for me to be alone for an evening. I would think about hanging out or I would just call around to find something to do. But now, I really take a lot of joy in being in my room here at Omar’s. I feel really good when I am here. I know I won’t be here for a long time, but I am really getting used to doing things alone. Like riding my bike for example, getting some food out somewhere, running errands, or just anything really. I am spending so much time alone that I might need to be forced out sometimes. I do go out sometimes, but this is just about taking pleasure in being at home. I have been watching Netflix movies, doing this cleanse, looking around the internet, getting better at Spider Solitare, reading books (yes real books), listening to music, finding new music, and other things. Maybe my next step is to have people over in my room, that way I will still feel like I am at home but can hang out as well.
Ohh the water is still too hot in my tea.
I think I am going to thrifting tomorrow for a small trash can for my room. Maybe I will try Target.
I am staying at my parents house for a few days this week to be with my sister Kristin while my parents are out of town. Whoa, that was a long sentence. Hopefully our friend Kat brings over Guitar Hero 2. Which brings me to my next point, if anyone would like to play Guitar Hero later this week, just let me know!
I want to see the movie, Year of the Dog. Molly Shannon is the lead role, and the trailer looks pretty good. I wonder where it is playing.
Noonebelongsheremorethanyou . Miranda July has brought me lots of joy over the past years. This website she made is another example of how amazing she truly is. Enjoy.
Today with my fridge magnets I spelled, “You are a scientist and it’s time for bed.”

I want to start drinking tea every night. It really relaxes me and soothes me into an earlier slumber. Which is best anyway. After this cleanse I will most likely not drink laxative tea though, ha. Most likely a mint or chamomile.

So it is the end of my third full day on the cleanse. It is weird to think that the human body can go without food for this long. And even weirder to think I am doing it to myself. I feel pretty good though. In fact, today I had a few bursts of energy. Near the end of my work day I was feeling full of energy. I have wanted to eat though, I don’t want to give the impression that I am made of stone. I have not cheated though. I have not eaten any food since Saturday. Only the drink. Although I am thinking that if I feel good results by the weekend that I may stop then. But that might be the back of my brain talking, ha. I guess we will see. But for all of you who thought this was insane, is really has not been that bad. I have had cravings, but I have been really hungry a few times. If I drink water or the mix it goes away. One bit of news is that the salt water flush will stop today. I seriously just can not take it anymore. The book says you can drink laxative tea instead, so that is what I will do. Seriously, the salt water is the worst part. I also got some limes today, because it says you can use lime juice as well as the lemon. So I mixed it up a bit today. Good idea I think. I weighed myself this morning and I was 164.2 lbs. Last time I weighed myself I was 170, at least. So it looks like I have already dropped some weight. But I am not sure if you can really tell by looking at me. I do not really care about the weight loss, because I know some will come back when I stop the cleanse. I am just going to try and eat as good as possible afterwards, then I won’t gain it all back. And I will feel healthier. I borrowed a book from Jason C. today called, “Diet For a New America”. It talks a lot about the way Americans eat. I am excited to look into it. So all in all I do feel that this is doing me some good. Whether or not I do the whole 10 days or stop around 7 I am not sure yet. But I don’t want to stop until I feel some changes. And also I would like my intestines to flush all the way out. So I will just have to keep going till then.
Tea is amazing. I am so thankful I get to drink it on the Cleanse. The laxative and the mint tea. Mmmm.
I watched an episode of Full House yesterday that was never aired. It is the pilot episode, and the weirdest part is that Bob Saget is not in it!!! John Posey does his role in it. It is really weird. I like Bob better.
Tomorrow on my day off I am going to do another facial mask. That is after I goto the dentist at 11.
I need to wash my car because I have a new Pedro the Lion sticker to put on it.
My Netflix are coming in the mail tomorrow!

I hung out with Blythe and Kirby yesterday. Hero is looking sooo cute! We hung out and Kirby and I got the tools to start our Master Cleanses. We went to an art show in Simi afterwards, and that was a lot of fun. The art and photography looked amazing.
When I got home I had the organic Gentle Herbal Laxative tea right before bed. Earlier I had a DELICIOUS sandwich from Whole Foods, which also sad though, because I knew while I was eating it that it was the last food I would eat for 10 days. I ate it slowly and enjoyed it almost to a spiritual level, ha.
So I slept in till about 9am. Woke up and did my first salt water flush. Oh my. I am using Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt for that. I filled my Nalgene with 32 ounces of water added the 2 teaspoons of the salt and drank it. I kinda had to go semi slow because it was awful. I thought I was going to throw up. I did not though. I got through it and called Kirby to see how his went, he said it was awful as well. Well I hope I get use to drinking it every morning. I just made my first batch of the lemonade. It is not too bad really.
- 8 ounces purified water
- 1 ounce grade B organic maple syrup
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
That is my diet for the next 10 days. Other than the salt water flush each morning and the tea at night.
They say if you want you can have mint tea through out the cleanse. I am going to try and wait so that when I get that it is in my darkest hour, ha.
I need to shower and then I am heading over to Katie F’s house for an hour massage.
The cleanse starts now..
I will be updating here a lot through out this process, so check back everday if you are curious.

Talked to Kirby today and he is starting the Master Cleanse this Saturday. And seeing as how that is something I have wanted to do for a while, I am joining up with him. Saturday we will make a big batch and begin the detox. I am aiming at 10 days total. I would like to say up front that in case I break, at least I gave it a shot. But honestly, I am really gunning for it. I feel ready for this. I just have to remember the outcome is good, and good for me. Also Jennifer Coloma is going to do it too! Which is really great, because we work together and we can slap the food out of each others hands if we get tempted. And also we can cover for each other during the many bathroom trips this process will require, ha.
Played Spider Solitare a lot today. It started driving me insane though, so I had to stop. I need a strategy.
It is a shame I just bought that bread cause now I can’t save it for after this cleanse, I guess I have to give it away. Anyone?
So Ryan and I got my bike ready today. I put on the new inner tube to riding, and the road bike was looking sweet. Well, Ryan and I rode like the wind and talked and it was really nice. Then once we started to turn around to come home I got a flat tire, and it was the tire that I had just fixed an hour before. Argh. Alex Danible came and picked us up. Thanks Alex.
I ate a lot of Uncle Eddies cookies so that they do not go bad over my fast. It was the right thing to do.

I tried that new mask. It feels crazy cold on your face after applying it. Then it mellows out and begins to dry. During all of this it smells like lemongrass and other fresh meadowy things. After about 10 minutes I washed, toned, and moisturized. Now I am feeling beautiful. Ha. No seriously though, it feels nice. Plus my shirt today is adding to the whole feeling of clean. Pink does that to me.

I just got back from Whole Foods in Porter Ranch. Picked up a few things, actually almost 50 dollars worth, that I needed around here. Like Uncle Eddies Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate-Chip Cookies, A freshly made sandwich for lunch, Kettle Bakes Hickory Honey BBQ Chips, Trio Hummus, Apple juice with Black Tea in it, Freshly Baked Whole Wheat Millet and Oat Bread, Tofurkey Lunchmeats, some Veggie Burgers, and a few other edible items. But I also got Kiss My Face Pore Shrink. It is a deep-cleansing clay mask. With clove, tea tree, and lemongrass oils. They serve as antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agents for clean and healthy skin. I got it because I am on the quest for better skin. I know I have pretty good skin already, at least I think I do, but I would like to have better skin. I guess everyone would. But I ran out of the last facial mask I had so it was time for something new. And since all the daily face products I use are natural and from Whole Foods, it just made sense to get the new mask there as well. I will try it tonight and let you know how it felt. I am predicting it to be amazing. And before I forget, the sandwiches that the people make for you at Whole Foods are INCREDIBLE.
Easter was nice. I went to service with my family, and saw lots of friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. Then I came home for a bit. Then rode my bike to my parents house to visit with family and eat Easter dinner. It was my Grandpa Henry’s 86 birthday!! We played frisbee and hung out. Then I rode over to see Derek cause it was his birthday. Him and Sammy and I went in the spa and talked. One of the reasons I tried the Kiss My Face product was Sammy’s suggestion. Then I rode my bike by Brett and Katie’s house but alas no one was home. Then I rode to Jared and Tamra’s for special dinner. Then I rode home and got my car and went to Jay’s house for a BBQ / Spa Party. Easter day was a lot of fun.
Than yesterday I worked from 730 to 330. I went out to lunch with Nathan McClain. Got my haircut. And then went to Taco Bell with my sister and Kat. After that I talked to my friend Mary on the phone! Ha. We have known each other for about 3 years I think, but have never actually talked. We have just followed each others lives through our pictures and blogs. So it was nice talking. Plus we are going to hang out soon. I feel as though we already have met. She is really neat. Then I went to the Puk’s house for some more spa action.
Today I slept in and then watched The Science of Sleep. It was really good. Very well done. Now I am going to work.
Then band practice from 7 to 9.

Chris, Melissa, Chipper, and I went out riding today. It felt so good to be on the road. I sense a lot more riding to come. Ryan and I are still trying to come up with a name for the Midnight Riding group we are going to start soon. Imagine 30 kids riding bikes through the streets of Simi at midnight, seems like a good idea to me. I have more bike photos from today but it is 12:30 so I am going to bed.

Today. I worked from 6 to 8am. Then came home and took a short nap. I washed my car and cleaned it out, and then sprayed it with my lime air freshener stuff. mmm. Then I ran a few errands and went back to work. Worked till 4:45 because we only had 3 clients for the day. Getting out early was a nice treat. I then went to Trader Joe’s for some items I kept forgetting to pick up. I had a salad with fake bacon, facon, for dinner. Omar and I watched the new hour long episode of The Office. It was really good, except it was only 45 minutes long and then that stupid show came on. Either way it was still a good episode. We had a few Malibu Rum and Cokes and then Steve M. came over. When Omar went to bed Steve came down to my room. I had a Sapporo and we talked about how we both do not agree with the diamond industry, crazy monkeys that hurt little wolfs, British bands, The Conet Project, Hi Chew, and other things. Then when he left I called Jennifer and we talked about current events and pants. Also about the tiredness that is brought upon me with a few drinks.
Now I am listening to Tom Petty. Tomorrow in the early afternoon I am going to get tubes for the road bike Chris let me use. I talked to Kelly the behaviorist that comes into my work, and he agreed that riding almost everyday would make me feel great. So I am going to.
Remembered to take some Ginkgo Biloba.
