Last night I had California Veggie Burgers from Dr. Praeger’s. They were very tasty on the toasted whole wheat buns. Plus I had just bought us some new ketchup. But it is different than what you think. This ketchup is sweetened with fruit juices! The taste was incredible. I can’t believe I have been settling all this time with Heinz and the other brands. They taste like candy now. They have sugar in them! But the kind we bought doesn’t add sugar. Mmmm. Tasty.

I learned this morning that Tim & Gay Quick read my blog from time to time. That is great! I always wonder who reads this, because I tell so many people about it. Also my counter says that we had 2,617 visits to my blog for the month of January! I have to talk to Jason and see how that is possible, but dang that is a lot of people checking this out. Also, Tim I heard that we have some similar problems sometimes, haha.

I am going to the library with the kids today to return some books. Everytime we go I find something amazing in the used bookstore there for 1 dollar.

I would just be hitting you all the time

I got a donut…..2.

Then I came home and took a nap.

Then I woke up and had some champagne.

I started watching the first episode of Mork and Mindy. It is pretty rad.

I borrowed a screwdriver from Jen upstairs.

My boss asked me if I would like to work Tuesday 2:30-8pm instead of coming in on Saturdays. I said, “HECK YEAH!!”. No actually I tried to keep my cool, but it is incredible news.

I got some dried granny smith apples from TJ today. They are good. I knew they would be, but seriously they are better than that even!

I think I am going to leave for band practice now. If anyone would like to see us play we have a few shows coming up. This Saturday we are playing with Honest People up in Santa Barbara. Then Sunday we are playing in the valley with The Ramblers. Then Thursday we are playing at Little Rock again! Phew. Show City. Let me know if you want to go to any, and I will email you with info. It would be awesome to see all of you out there! Little Rock is the only show where they will be selling beer and such. But the Santa Barbara show you can bring your own! Even the Sunday Valley show I bet you could as long as you hide it well. We hide wine there once.

Also I noticed 2 new people registered this week. Welcome Honey Bread and Mike!!! Thanks!

Big Salad

Today at work my coworker decided he did not want to do most of his chores before leaving. Plus he took off 20 minutes early without saying a word to me. Seeing as how I am the Manager I will be writing him up big time when he comes in on Wednesday. PLUS he let the dog in the house, which I had posted a huge note on the door saying not to. I told him I really do not care how cold it is outside, the dogs are used to the cold. Some people have allergies, me, and the dogs are filthy. Needless to say, I was furious this morning. The nerve.

My mom is cutting my hair today.

Smart Balance is WAY better than butter. FACT! If you do not believe me, them buy some and try it on your toast. Make sure it is whole wheat though, you do not want to waste this deliciousness on plain ole crappy white bread, bleh. Take the Smart Balance Challenge!! Let me know what you think.

Thanks to everyone for reading my blog all the time.

Little Miss Sunshine won Best Picture last night at SAG Awards. Although I did not watch it, I heard that on the radio.

The weather is really nice out here today.

Dang it, now I’m out of vanilla

I got two comics in the mail today.

1. Clutch 14 - Happy War!

2. Untitled by Kevin H.

I have felt so full of energy today. Not sure what to point towards for the reasoning, but I am going to try and keep it going.

I found a pitcher that I already owned to make ice tea in. Mmm. I wonder what kind I should buy.

I want to have some Patron. Maybe I will.

I do

So last night TNT played a show at The Little Rock on Reseda Blvd in the valley. And it went pretty well. John and some of our other really good fans and friends showed up to see us. But also a 42 year old Polish lady that was totally drunk also came. As well as a 50 year old man that kept talking to me about paino tuning and cracking weird jokes about the 60’s. Well all through out the show this lady kept dancing right up in front of us. She was shaking things you should not shake and yelling things that were strange and should not be yelled. She kept talking in between songs about how I was jewish, which I am not, and about how we do not seem to be enjoying her dancing. At point she even left, but it turned out she only left to get more booze. She returned and even came onto the small stage, and tried to convince us to play some Beatles. She was hitting on me the whole show. WEIRD. I do not even care about that, it is funny and entertaining. But afterwards John came up on stage and asked me if I wanted him to take care of her, haha, John is so rad. He helped me more later, tell you in a bit. Well I go over to talk to her because she is not leaving the front of the stage and she is trying to hug me and keeps telling me that Polish and Jewish people get along and how we should smoke some pipes together. The worst was that she kept trying to kiss me on the check or lips, I don’t know but I kept turning my ear to her pretending that I couldn’t hear her. Which I couldn’t actually because the club was blasting Sublime or something similar. Well she finally started talking to some other guy and left me alone. The other thing I was going to say about John was that he saved me after we played. The band after us came up right after we finished and asked to use my drumset. I was very slow to say yes, because I wanted to leave. Liz was feeling sick, and I had to get up early, so naturally I did not want to stay out late. It was already 11:30. But I told them sure. Once I saw the guy start to mess with all my tuning and changing everything was the starting of the irritation. Once I went outside I told everyone that they were using it, and John was like, “Do you want them to?”, to which I replied, “Well, no. Not at all.” So he offered to go get them for me! We talked about it and then we both went back in to take them off the stage. The other drummer seemed bummed, but frankly I did not care in the least bit. So we took them off the stage really fast and I started to take them down. That is when John went beyond my wildest dreams and got 3 of his friends to help carry everything outside. We carried everything out in 1 trip!! I am not sure if that has ever happened before. Thanks to John for being the sweetest TNT fan and friend ever. That really helped me out. Plus it is always great seeing people in the audience that are nodding their heads and paying attention to your music. Thanks to everyone that came!

I need more apricot ice tea. I am going to make some.

Also Scott, my bro, and I are going to kick out the jams right now.

Today

So I am wearing grey sweats today and I goto Target to get a sweatshirt for the ultimate comfort wear outfit, and I have to goto the bathroom. Well, as some of you know, sometimes men when they use the restroom they think they are finished and in fact once they walk away they are not. I got really scared to go to the bathroom for fear that my light grey sweatpants would get a dribble mark and I would like like a complete idiot and have to leave before I even did any shopping. Well just so you know I got lucky. Only a small spot showed up on them. And because the sweats are in fact a heather grey I considered the small spot part of the fabric.

Also I talked to a gentlemen at Trader Joe’s about Vegetarianism and he said I should buy some whole buckwheat and eat with stir fry and such. Sounds good to me!

I saw Omar today. He got a 40 inch widescreen 1080 HD television. We played Xbox 360 and watched parts of HD movies. It is AMAZING!

Also I got a 206 on Wii bowling. YES! And I earned enough points to be Pro!!

Goldfish

I stopped by Martino’s Bakery today. I got some tea cakes. 2 of the ones from the Giunta wedding, 1 blueberry, 1 cranberry, and 1 carrot cake. Mmmmmmmm.

I bought another shelf for the bookcase I got at Ikea. Now I can put a lot more DVDs up there.

Cleaning feels good.

I have had random headaches lately. I missed my dentist appointment because of work. I had black beans for lunch. We had vegetable lasagna for dinner. Tea cakes for dessert.

I am wearing a Polar State v-neck shirt. It is very comfortable, I suggest everyone buy one next time they play. Or just stop by one of their personal homes and knock on the door and demand one.

I should change the headlight on the left side of my car, because I recently changed the one on the right.

I got these grey sweatpants from Target for 6.99, and it turned out to be the best fashion choice I have made in a long time. So comfortable. Fleece, is there anything it can’t do?

I took a bath tonight, and when I got out I decided to blow dry my hair straight up. It is crazy. I am going to leave it until tomorrow night.

Built to Spill seriously rocks.

Less than a month till I leave for Seattle!!

Adios.

Grape Soda

On the way to work I saw on old lady that was dressed like a clown, pretty much, in her electric wheel chair, and she was stuck on the railroad tracks! I saw a motorcycle cop checking out the situation and then decide to ride over and help her. That, I believe, was a good idea seeing as how as I drove past about a mile down the road there was a train coming!! Ha. Crazy.

My mom and I watched the documentary on the band Low that I bought. That was fun. I didn’t get to watch the whole thing, because I had to leave for work though. It looks really good. They have amazing philosphys on music.

I had some blueberry cinnamon coffee from Dr. Conkey’s. Mmmmm. Delicious. 2 cups to be exact.

Scott and I were going to jam. But he was not home all day because he loves Sarah more than me. So I brought his amp and the machine to work. The kids are going to LOVE it. The nonverbal kids love making noise and playing with toys that make noise. This should be fun. Also I get off early tonight. Yahoo!

I am going to see Stephen Malkmus tonight at the Glasshouse. I am really excited.

Conditioner for your hair is important. I learned that recently.

I wore a pink polo shirt yesterday, and it felt nice.

I got 2 comics in the mail today from Kevin H. Yippee! One is Sermons 1 and the other is a comic about how to draw comics! Maybe I will learn something so I can finaly feel confident enough to draw some.

Wedding!

I will be gone in Santa Barbara for Damion and Jen’s wedding this weekend, starting today. I am the best man! I am really excited. Damion and Jen are going to love living together. The decorations for the wedding look so neat, and it is at a museum. This should be really cool. Plus I talked to Brian the guy fixing the damage to my car, and he said my car won’t be done till Monday! Which means I get the rent a car for the whole weekend! I am driving a 2007 Matrix, except it is red which is kinda weird. But it has navigation which is awesome.

I need to use the facilities and have some OJ.

Do do do

Wild Alaskan Salmon is cooking in the oven. Salmon with a side of Roasted Corn, Steamed Asparagus, and Brown Rice. Also the Salmon is being cooked with some Mushrooms , Onions, and some spices and some sauces.New Years was nice. We went to the Jones Condo. Played some Wii, did some laundry, and caught up with good friends.

This whole past week has been nice. Work has been the 7:30 to 3:30 shift for me, so I am loving it. Getting off that early is so great. You feel like you have the whole day still. The usual 8 doesn’t make me feel like that at all.

Tomorrow was band practice, but I still have a lot to get and get ready for Damion’s wedding this weekend. So I cancelled it. I know the guys and girl are probably mad about it, but the wedding is getting really close and I can’t wait any longer to get the things I need. But I won’t get into any of that nonsense.  I need a white collared shirt, but I do not want to get some crappy one. Those never fit. Damion suggested J. Crew so I will try there tomorrow. I also need shoes, black belt, and a tie. It stinks because I really didn’t own any “nice” clothes before this, so I have had to buy it all. But at the same time that has been nice because now I have a very nice outfit to where to very nice things. Mom will be proud.

Iron and Wine is on the stereo.

I recorded a dumb song in Garageband 3, and I am looking forward to making more dumb songs. Hopefully some good ones too.

It is hard to blog about the past week once it is over. It all kinda blurs together. I need to not slack off on my blogging.

Damion and Jen made some really good holiday treats, and I am enjoying some right now.

We got some really neat little silicone baking cups in the shape of little cupcakes from Crate and Barrel. Time for green tea cupcakes with some yummy frosting!
