Careful

I drove to school holding a coffee in one hand and I some how spilt some on my pants. Then I had to walk to class with coffee on my pants. Oddly enough, it didn’t really bother me because it felt warm on my leg.

It is so windy today. I can’t function outside. Last night right before I was about to fall asleep I thought, “Hmm, I should put a toque by my shoes so I remember to wear one, nah I will remember to get one in the morning.” Incorrect. I did not remember. I would be so much more comfortable if I was wearing one, because for some reason they make me more comfortable in the wind.

Crazy

So it IS true! The way we view Santa Claus today is based on what Coca Cola did in 1931. Coca Cola company. That is too much for me to handle. Read more by clicking on the link.

Weird

I call sweatshirts sweaters. I am trying to change but I still just call everything like that a sweater. Which has brought confusion in the past when discussing my outfit. I would say, “Do you like this sweater?” And someone would reply, “You are not wearing a sweater you are wearing a sweatshirt!”. Silly me.

Vegan Pumpkin Pie Donuts

McDonald’s is insane. They are trying to patent sandwich-making. This further proves how insane McDonald’s is, and gives us just another reason why we should not eat there. They are crazy monkey faced racercar drivers that need to be stopped. What are they going to do next? Patent the use of napkins during a meal?! Yeesh.

I want some Methylene Blue. So that my pee can be blue for days. Sounds pretty sweet to me. I might look into getting some. It would be like peeing blue kool-aid or something. Whatever, I just want to try it.

Do you like Mitch Hedberg? Would you like a random quote from him right now for free? Well then what are you waiting for!!! Click here..

Do you like that movie, “A Christmas Story”? Well this guy really really likes it too. So much so in fact that he made his house into a replica of the movie set and is giving tours of it. Whoa. I wish could turn my apartment into a replica of Jerry Seinfelds apartment. That would be sweet. I would probably swing the door open really fast whenever I came home.

Everyone leave Michael Richards alone. I am sure everyone of you have thought or said a racist joke or a racist slur. So whomever is free of sin cast the first stone. Society is so quick to attack people. I am not saying I am not guilty, but I am saying that everyone else is too and that should make everyone shut up. I think also it is my love for Seinfeld that makes me want to stand up for him. I mean come on, he was apart of the greatest television show of all time, cut him some slack.

Jordan Crane’s art is still showing at The Secret Headquarters. I really want to go this week.

If you were upset that OJ Simpson’s book was cancelled, have no fear. Ben Greenman wrote a musical about it. Click here to read fragments from, If I Did It! The Musical. Pretty sweet.

This past weekend was terrific! Friday night’s TNT show went great!

Today Shaun and I split a vegan pumpkin pie donut in math class. Also I took my right shoe off in the middle of class, I was feeling kinda ADD and constricted. It gave me a very odd sense of comfort. Maybe I will start wearing my slippers to class. I am going to drive to my parents house right now and clean the inside of my car out. This was a pretty good size blog, I hope it gives you a distraction from your day at work. Or if you are at home, I hope you read this while you are still in your PJ’s.

Also if someone wants to buy me a gift for no reason, then do it and let me know. It is prefectly normal to have these feelings. Trust me. I support your inclination to buy me a gift. 100%. You will feel much better, like a 1,000 pound weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Don’t you want to be a better cook/driver/student/lover/wizard/zoologist/musician? If you buy me a gift all of those areas in your life will improve.

The world we leave.. i mean.. live in

NY police kill man on wedding dayPolice in New York City have killed a man on the morning of his wedding and wounded two others.

The groom and two friends were leaving a strip club in Queens on Saturday morning after the groom’s bachelor party when police opened fire on them. Police fired 50 bullets at the car which was being driven by the groom. The club was under observation by police and New York’s mayor said police believed “an altercation with a firearm” was about to happen. A total of 21 bullets hit the car the men were driving as they left the strip club, police said.

Police suspicions

The driver, Sean Bell, was to be married later Saturday. He was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital. One of his passengers, Joseph Guzman was hit by at least 11 bullets and is in critical condition in hospital. The other passenger, Trent Benefield, was hit three times and is in stable condition. Police said they were watching the club, Kalua, because of suspicions of drug dealing and prostitution. New York’s mayor said police acted to prevent an incident. “We know that the NYPD officers on the scene had reason to believe that an altercation involving a firearm was about to happen and were trying to stop it,” New York’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

No gun found

New York’s Police Chief Raymond Kelly said the three men were also being watched and when they left the club their car hit an undercover officer, Associated Press news agency said. The men’s car then backed up and hit an unmarked police vehicle for a second time, which is when five of the seven police officers on the scene opened fire, Mr Kelly said. No weapons were found on the three men or in their car. An investigation is underway.

In 1999, New York police fired 41 bullets at unarmed Amadou Diallou, killing him. The four officers involved were acquitted of all charges.

My thoughts

This seems like a complete joke. How can professional police men make such huge mistakes. And I bet that they will get acquitted after this is all done. I really hope that whoever was in charge gets put away. There is no excuse for this kind of events taking place in our country. I wish I could see the police report for this one. What did the police men really have to say for themselves? “Oh, well… we thought that they were dangerous.. so we blindly shot them.”

Black Friday

I can’t believe it is almost December!! This year has gone by so fast.

Today is Black Friday and I think I might goto Fry’s on the way home from work.

Which brings me to mention that I am typing from the office at work, and it is freezing in here. I don’t feel too tired though, which is nice.

I got Seinfeld season 7 on DVD.Tonight TNT is playing a show in the valley at a guitar shop. With alot of great bands too! Come on out and rock off some of that food you ate yesterday.

I wish I had some soy hot chocolate.

Alllrighttt!

I got a 41 out of 50 on my Sociological Analysis test! I was very happy with my grade and then the teacher announced that it was the highest grade in the class! That is what I am talking about.

I saw Braven, Bryan F., Steve Hawk at the bagel deli today. Three great guys.

Some news from others

A word from Brenna, “when stapling important cables to the wall, remember to chant “around, not through.”"Jen says, “on our way to the outlets, we were stuck in traffic. a semi lost it’s load. we drove through hundreds of baby doll heads.”

Pancakes

Last night I tried making whole wheat, soy, chocolate chip pancakes but I failed horribly. I know what I did wrong though, so next time will be better.
My latest beverage of choice is still Calpico. It is huge in Japan but not as much here in the states. For reasons unknown to me. Probably because America has no real taste for anything with value, and everyone just drinks diet Pepsi (ugh). I am almost finished with a bottle of strawberry Calpico I bought from an Asian market in the San Frenando Valley. it has a smooth, somewhat milky, taste of strawberries and cream. I really like it.

Tonight I am going to Largo to finally see Jon Brion preform. Sammy is getting me in and I could not be happier. I think I am even going to dine there tonight! Hooray! I wonder if anyone will be secretly preforming with him?!

Recently I have been more and more convinced that Sun Kil Moon is amazing. He covers some Modest Mouse on the Tiny Cities album, and it is soo good. I will try to post an mp3 of one of the covers on here this weekend. You gotta here them.

I just found out that Joanna Newsom’s latest album Ys was released on tuesday! Where have I been? Geez. I am going to pick it up soon. It feautures 5 songs, the shortest of them is 7 minutes and 15 seconds and the longest is over 16 minutes! I am really excited about this album. It features a full orchestra on 4 of the songs. An interesting fact about this album is that it was mixed to tape and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in England. Besides The Beatles and Pink Floyd doing music there something else was recorded there that is far greater than those two bands. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’s score was recorded there! Haha. Anyways, just go buy her new album and if you liked her first album I can’t see how she could possibly disappoint you with this new one.

Well it is almost time for work so I better leave the school library now.

If anyone is considering a new car anytime soon and want a Honda I just made an amazing contact in Ventura that can save you LOTS of money on buying that car. Let me know if I can help anyone with this information.

I saw video on the news this morning of complete idiots freaking out about the PS3, haha. Grown men can turn into such idiots so quickly for the stupidest reasons. I pray that I remain calm and collected my whole life. Ha.

Modest Mouse

This past week I have been on a random Modest Mouse craze. They are so good. Man.

My Sociological Analysis class is going ok. I had a test today, and I think I did alright. I know I should pass, but I don’t know if I got an A or anything. I am positive I got full credit on the essay questions though. I pumped those out pretty good. We have this group project, which is not going as planned. I don’t think I like group projects, and I feared this happening from the start. Tomorrow our Literature Review is due, but we have not had any time to get together as a group because everyone’s schedules. Plus each of us seem to have a totally different idea of what the actual definition of this assignment is. So needless to say tomorrow afternoon I will be at the Moorpark College Library trying to make sure everything looks ok to turn in.

The TNT show on Tuesday night in Ventura went pretty good. We played pretty good, and everything sounded great. Sammy let me borrow an early 70’s Ludwig snare. It sounded great! I wish I could have used the electric kazoo he had, so rad. Only thing bad was that I got a flat tire. Booo. 88 dollars to fix. But I did get to play Animal Crossing while I waited for the tire repair.

Damion gave me every single album from the band LOW. I have been wanting some of their stuff for a while. I saw them preform with Damien Jurado a while back, and they were incredible.
Adios

Damion really likes the fact that they have Cap’n Crunch as a topping. They basically have 2 flavors of yogurt. Original that tastes like real plain yogurt with a hint of lemon. And green tea. I had original with blueberries. It was way better than the frozen yogurt in Canada.

A note

I found a note in one of the kids backpacks at work today and it reads, “The spell didn’t work on me. But it will work on you.” Hahaha. They are so cute, with their spells and all. For further reference to that note you can come over and see it on the fridge at the apartment, because I am totally taking it home. How could I not?!

I should do my Statistics 7.1 homework this weekend.

I felt pretty productive today at work. I even cleaned the office for Debby, because she is sick and it would be nice to come back to a clean office.

Animal Crossing is fun. I can’t wait for tomorrow because there is going to be a flea market, and I guess I will have to figure out how to go to it on the game.

I am getting pretty tired of all of the voting talk lately. It is full of grown men and women attacking each other in the media like little babies. I forgot to register in LA county to vote this year. I didn’t really think that I had to register because I moved, but it turns out you do. It is weird too, because I actually really want to vote.

Adios.

Oh my love

Well, I finally broke down and bought Animal Crossing. I would be playing it right now but my DS battery is low. I made a character named Bradley. I bought a shovel, which I haven’t used yet, and I have 4,500 dollars in the game. I want to pay off my house first and then do other stuff. I can tell it is going to be alot of fun to play.

Damion was over last night doing some stuff to the internet at the apartment until 1am! I thought I was going to be really tired today, but I am not too bad. I took a small nap. He gave me some apple sauce cake.

Then this morning my mom and I were talking about making cookies with brown rice flour and then I thought that we might as well make vegan cookies! So once we make up a recipe, my mom and I are going to make vegan cookies.

I watched Art School Confidential last night. It was really funny and I really enjoyed it. I recommend it!

I did laundry.

I had a burrito thing.

I watched the Rachael Ray show with my mom, like usual.
