Anyone know who sings that song?
I took my little sister Kristin to the American Apparel Outlet yesterday before I went to Valencia. She got lots of good stuff and the guy gave us a 30% discount again! That guy is really rad. I got these. I wore them yesterday for a bit and they are AMAZING! Pool/Jogging/Round the house these will come in handy! After the many years I have dedicated to this paradox Herbert Winful came through and put my struggle to an end. Thank you Herb.
ONWARD!
So everyone says it was cooler today
But it is still hot to me.
I went to work this morning at 7:30. I had my paper cutter so I took everything off of the bulletin boards and cut everything to a better shape. And then I took the construction paper Debby got me and put colored background behind all of the items on the bulletin board. And then when Lisa got to work at 1:30 we did the other board. So much more colorful and attractive!
When I got off work I was going to go to the bank to deposit a check, but I drove right past the bank because there was a nice breeze coming through my car and it was hot so I didn’t want it to leave. I can go tomorrow. But I did goto Best Buy. I bought my first DS game. I really don’t want to buy anymore for a long time, but I figure one is ok. So I bought the only logical game for me…TETRIS!! I heard it had really good reviews. So I shopped around a bit via the telephone and found the cheapest price in my area was 29.99. So I went over and bought it and even got 10% off! The best part is that the game has Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play and WiFi play. Which means, that I can play with up to 8 people locally using the Single-Card Download Play, or play WiFi with people around the world! Just before this blog I played standard mode and got 100 lines. I felt I could have done better, but I haven’t played in a while.
I went swimming with my cousin Chris when I got home. I think we swam for about 2 hours! My Aunt even gave us 2 beach balls, which ended up being really fun. We listened to NPR and caught up with each other on current events. Swimming here is always good because the pool is so nice. Today it was 90! And that is just natural heating!
Before I forget, Jen sent me a link via a comment and I posted it under “Art and Such”. It is a website where people post things they have made and how to make them. I looked at it for a bit and I think I am really going to like it.
Ever find a weird bug around town? Ever take a picture of it? Ever wish you could send that picture somewhere and have someone tell you what bug it is? Well……
adios. xxoo
IT SO HOT OUT, BUT…
Today I found out about something that will change the lives of movie lovers all over the world. Mike Nelson is my hero. And he is back! Check out RiffTrax!!!
Amazing.

DAVID BAZAN - Known and respected for his tenure performing as Pedro the Lion, songwriter David Bazan has retired the band name to continue making music under his own name and his electronic side- project Headphones. Bazan is releasing his debut solo EP on June 13 and is working on a full-length studio album to be released in the spring of 2007.
I just bought a ticket to go see him preform at Tangiers in LA.
I am at Damion’s work. I am waiting for him to finish some camera work and then we are going to Apex Electronics in Sun Valley. I am going to get some kind of old electronic device and probably some knobs. Or I want to buy a cheap lamp socket to build a lamp!
I am sitting here watching videos on YouTube. David Bazan, Small Brown Bike, The Promise Ring, Cap’n Jazz.

In other newsWant to know how much caffiene you are drinking in some of your favorite beverages? Find out.
Want to know when you name became popular? Or when it wasn’t? Find out here. It is weird, I was born in 1981, and it shows Bradley was at its most popular stage during that time. Neat!

Damion are you aware of this?!?!

Also, at the used bookstore yesterday I bought 4 records.

Phew!
I just got back from the Newbury Park Library Used Book Sale. I arrived 10 minutes early, which was 5:50pm, thinking that I had a secret plan and I would be near the front of the line. Well, ha, let me tell you about how that plan was horrible! I should have arrived 2 hours or more before 6, because the line was about 250+ in front of me! But I got in relatively quick and bought some books I actually like, and have considered buying in the past. The room where all the books were was organized very very well. The temperature of that room, however, was at least 93 degrees. I even talked to people in line while I was waiting to buy my books and everyone agreed. Hence the title of this blog, “Phew!”. I was sweating by the time I got out of there. Here is a list of the books I bought.
- American Dietetic Association, Complete Food and Nutrition Guide 2nd Edition
- The Manual of Outdoor Photography by Michael Freeman
- The Manual of Indoor Photography by Micheal Freeman
- Publication Design, A guide to page layout, typography, format, and style.
- New Kids on the Block by Lynn Goldsmith (This book is HUGE)
- The Pill Book, The Illustrated Guide to the Most-Prescribed Drugs in the United States
- John Cleese on How to Irritate People (VHS)
- The Book of Firsts, The Fascinating Stories behind the World’s Greatest Achievements, Discoveries, and Breakthroughs.
All for just 10 dollars! I love adding new books to my library!
Also I went swimming with my cousin Chris today. And ate some avocado sushi from Whole Foods.
Robots and the color yellow
This week is flying by!
I just got out of a meeting at work. I stayed after talking to Kelly the behaviorist about everything, and I am excited about all the programs we are going to be starting here soon. I am the House Manager here now, and I still have alot to get used to but at the same time I am really excited about being a part of the change and finding new ways to motivate and encourage employees. I really want to do a good job here. I try.
The Telephone & Telegraph show got canceled tonight. Dang! Due to illness of a band member. Fear not, we will be playing sometime soon. The promo cds are in the process of being made as well, maybe if you are lucky you might stumble across one.
Omar gave me a Nintendo DS for my birthday earlier this month, and MAN I have been having so much fun with it. I play Brain Age everyday! It is so much fun to excerise my brain with that game. Seriously such a rad gift. Thanks Omar!! The wireless multiplayer games have been SO much fun as well!
I read a really indepth article about Maritime yesterday in Punk Planet magazine. If you are a fan of The Promise Ring or their new band Maritime I highly recommend you go out and read it.
Goodnight

Monday
I worked 8 hours and then played soccer with Steve and Adam at 8. We played last week and it was alot of fun. But this time we called even more people, and yet noone else showed up. So we kicked the ball around and played man-in-the-middle. I have to admit that I think I played pretty good. Except the time I kicked inbetween Steve’s legs and hurt his ankle. But we all agreed that it is a man’s game. I mean, I pulled a muscle located on the inside of my upper left leg, possibly the groin muscle. OUCH. But we had fun.
tuesday
Worked 8 hours. I took the kids to get free slurpees at 7-11. It was 7/11/06 which means FREE slurpees every year. This year was their 79th birthday. Then we went to the library. I Got a book on Suduko to possibly learn to play better, and I went to the used bookstore in the library and bought..
- The Hiker’s Bible
- Mark Stark’s Amazing Jewish Cookbook for the Entire Family
- After School Specials: 1974-1976
- After School Specials: 1976-1977
I also checked out the movie, The Weather Underground. Seems pretty rad.
After work I went to visit my little sister at her work, The Golden Spoon, and saw Wes and his friend Jenny. Then I went to pick up my brother and we met up with his friend Daniel. We went to the 7-11 on Erringer and Cochran for a free slurpee, but the machine was being replaced. On 7/11! How convenient. While we were leaving Daniel was pulling out of his parking spot and this gold SUV came pretty fast around the corner and went past him and pulled into the spot next to mine. But they started yelling really loud and cursing at him for “almost hitting them”, the guy in the car even threw ice at Daniel! So my window was down and they were right next to my car so I said, “Hey man, COOOOL IT!” Then the 40 year old tanktop wearing dude starts cussing me out. So I just started to drive away and then he threw ice at MY car! The next thing that happened I can’t explain and I almost feel bad for doing it, but it happened without any regard to my safety or without thinking about wrong or right. I totally flipped him off, and it was a really solid one too. Well, then he got out of his car and his wife did too and they started screaming at us as we drove away. The whole episode was hilarious!! I was just sticking up for Daniel because he is a sweet guy. You would have done the same, I hope. So then we went to another 7-11 and they said they “ran out of cups” so no free slurpees. Then we went to yet another 7-11 and they had free ones and let us have them. But then this lady yelled at me because I was sitting on the curb where she wanted to park. And THEN this 15 year old suburban “punk” kid went in with his friends to get a free slurpee and stole candy on his way out and ran away. What a moron, a free slurpee isn’t good enough you have to steal candy? Geez.
Today I woke up and read the interview of Maritime in Punk Planet. It was really good. And very in-depth. Now I am doing laundry and telling you that I am doing laundry. Chris is here and he is watching The Price is Right.
Time for a late breakfast.

I’m on an LD to NC
I have had a habit lately of not allowing myself enough time to blog. I wake up early or try to plan for it at night, but I sleep in or play soccer instead. I really want to blog more.
My birthday weekend was a blast! Saturday I went out to the valley to see Polar State play. It was the last show of their tour. They were gone for about 2 weeks or so. Man, that must have been so much fun. The show was at JD’s house off of De Soto. Los Olvidados played first then Polar State went on. The show was so much fun. I even brought a bottle of Champagne in a styrofoam cooler to celebrate my birthday and the show. There were some bottlerockets going off in the backyard through out the evening. Sometimes those things seem so unpredictable.
Sunday I woke up and went inside to say hi to my cousin Chris. We ended up swimming almost right away at about 11am with his friend Leah. The pool has been so warm, it is great to have one this summer. Then we went to Sumo Sushi. I had 4 pieces of Salmon sushi, 2 pieces of Shrimp sushi, and 1 HUGE Tiger roll. Seriously the Tiger roll was amazing. Sumo sushi is great because they have the half off thing during lunch.. maybe dinner too. Then we went over to the outlets in camarillo. Well we were already in Camarillo, but we crossed the freeway to go there. I wanted to get a shirt from the American Apparel Store. So I bought myself a birthday shirt. For details click here. Except the one I bought is pink. If you go here and watch a video of Telephone & Telegraph playing you can see my wearing this shirt! Even if you don’t care about my new birthday shirt, please go check out my band’s profile. We have posted 4 rough mixed songs that will be on our upcoming full-length. Let us know what you think!! So after buying the shirt, We headed back home and Leah and Chris drove to Ventura for a bit. I started to get ready for that nights show. We played at the Harmony Sweet (Carpe DM) with Cosio, Harlequin Jones, and someone else that was playing solo. The show was sooo great! Honestly, so many good friends showed up to support us. I can not thank everyone enough for stopping by! We talked as a band and that might have been the most people we have brought out to a show just to see us! At least as far as we can remember. So, THANK YOU!!! Chris Spratlen and I ended up going to Del Taco for some food. Talked for a while and then we both headed home. But made plans to watch Star Wars this weekend.
As far as this week goes, I have been working 12 to 8pm all week. This is my first week as House Manager so I am trying to settle into that. I redid a few forms and some other things that won’t make sense to anyone else. I went shopping for the home today for the first time. I hope I didn’t forget anything. So far so good though! I like being HM.
Last night Steve M., Adam B., Marc C., Chris A., and I played soccer. It was so rad. We did drills and ran around tiring each other out. Good times.
